Olivia Bottega: Wedding Designer Lookout
I’ve recently been wedding dress shopping for my upcoming elopement (which will be sometime this year) with my fiancé + partner of 6+ years.
I spent the majority of my life imagining I would try on dozens and dozens of dresses just for the hell of it; to stretch my bridal right. Just like Say Yes To The Dress, right?
I did not imagine the actual outcome: that I would fall in love with a dress from a Russian designer on Etsy, order it based only on photos, good reviews, and good faith, and not try on a single other dress until that one arrived in the mail in a nondescript mailer bag.
If you’re looking for dreamy, fairytale gowns that are pretty reasonably priced - the majority are less than $1,500 - make sure you check out Olivia Bottega’s website and shop on Etsy.
I won’t tell you which one I chose so I don’t spoil it for my fiancé but I’ll include it somewhere in the mix. Wink wink!
Which of the Aviv gowns above do you like better, the chiffon skirt on the left or the tulle skirt on the right? Both of them are so so lovely! She was great to work with if you want to adapt part of the design slightly.
Most of her designs are beautifully detailed and more intricate, but we love this full satin minimalist beauty pictured below, too.

Where do I begin? Olivia Bottega is new on the bridal scene and is definitely a designer to look out for. She could easily be charging $1,000 more for each gown, so if you’re thinking about her for your big day - I’m here to tell you DO IT! Read the reviews, send them your questions, and you’ll definitely be pleased.
Funny enough, my gown arrived in the mail today. And while I only tried it on briefly (can’t ask the fiancé to button me up in the back) I was ecstatic after opening it up and looking at it; I can tell already she nailed my measurements and it fits perfectly and the detail and craftsmanship is amazing!
