Spell & The Gypsy Collective: My Dream Bohemian, Hippie Princess, Penny Lane Closet
I’ve found another brand, Australian-based Spell & The Gypsy Collective, where I clean-sweep want every single thing they make.
I’ve seen some of their pieces at Anthropologie, Free People, & Resolve. The style is a mixture of glamorously folksy bohemian meets badass rock n’ roll hippie princess. And much to my delight, the brand was started and is run by two sisters from Australia as an homage to the life journey of their grandparents.
The founding sisters like to describe Spell style as “a modern bohemian fashion inspired by far off places, vintage treasures, and childhood memories.” Yes. Please.

. . . and while there are several new Spring/Summer 2020 items listed here, some of these styles are from their 2019 collection and you may fall in love with a print that is no longer available. DON’T WORRY! They continue to make their most popular dresses, robes, and skirts season after season with new magical dreamy prints.

Spell seems like a brand I could collect like artwork. After looking and looking and stalking their sale section (which sells out quickly) I finally pulled the plug and ordered one of their maxi skirts when it went on sale through Free People! (I got the amethyst skirt in the creamy/pinky color!)
I love the idea of a maxi skirt because of how versatile it would be! It would look so cute paired with one of their rock n’ roll vintage inspired tees and a pair of boots, or keep it more classic with a flowy little top. Do you own some Spell & The Gypsy Collective pieces? What are your favorites?
