When I Die... Bury Me In Farm Rio
If you’ve been here a while, you already know: my relationship with Farm Rio is less “brand loyalty” and more “lifelong devotion with mild emotional dependency.” This is also not the first time I’ve blogged about them — nor, I suspect, will it be the last. (See a few earlier fashion posts here.)
In fact, I’ve reached the stage of commitment where I feel comfortable stating, publicly and without hesitation, that when I die I would like to be buried in Farm Rio. Preferably in something with embroidery, optimistic color, and a sleeve that suggests I may still have plans.

The 2026 Collections: Soft Pastels, Cutout Details, and Heavenly Patterns
Farm Rio’s 2026 new arrivals feel like a gentle exhale after seasons of saturated maximalism. The palette leans into dreamy pastels — buttercream yellows, misty lilacs, powdered sky blues — without abandoning bursts of the brand’s signature vibrancy. Instead of shouting, the colors hum.
But make no mistake: subtle does not mean simple.
This season, the brand’s patterns and details feature lush botanicals, sun-drenched pastels, rhythmic florals, and celestial inspired whimsy. The prints and pieces feel rooted in place rather than moment, which is precisely why they never feel dated.
Spring standout detail is the use of Richelieu-style eyelet cutouts — appearing in denim, leather, full cotton, and more — and ranging the spectrum from casual day pieces (like the lilac shorts here that I’m coveting), to more showstopper design pieces that are more than wedding-guest worthy.
Farm Rio has always nailed it on eyelet cutout detailing over the years - and this year’s Richelieu pieces are no exception. I would 10/10 trade many valuables for any of their sets, which always look expensive and feature amazing details.
Which set do you prefer, between the Butter Yellow Boho Beauty Euroflax linen set above — or the powder blue Richelieu Euroflax linen set, shown below?

The Richelieu eyelet details are highlighted in this year’s denim collection, too - which… For someone living out West in Oregon, I love.
While this Denim Richelieu set (shown below) isn’t light on the price tag, let’s be real - it would be a staple in your closet for the rest of your life.
Denim & Leather, but Make It Romantic
Farm Rio has always excelled at contradiction: structure meets softness, tailoring meets whimsy. The 2026 collections lean fully into this duality.
Eyelet-cut denim trousers and skirts soften utilitarian silhouettes.
Structured leather jackets punctuated with floral or heart cutouts feel both bold and poetic.
Embroidery, scalloping, and cutwork elevate everyday pieces into heirloom-adjacent territory.
It’s the sort of detail that rewards a second glance — and a third, if you’re anything like me and tend to linger near well-lit mirrors.
Starry-eyed over starry prints
Not only did Farm Rio deliver starry designs across pieces within their denim collection (as seen above) - they also delivered dozens of celestially-inspired dresses, sweaters, suit sets, tops, and more - with fabulously timeless designs inspired from the heavens above.
The Quintessential Tropical Vacation Wardrobe
No one does tropical vacation chic quite like Farm Rio. They are clothes that assume sunshine. Clothes that expect you to order the second cocktail. And clothes that insist the out-of-office reply state you will not be checking your work laptop.
Sustainable & Budget-Friendly Ways to Join the Cult
If full-price Farm Rio gives your wallet palpitations, the good news is that the secondary market is thriving. You can often find consigned pieces on resale platforms like thredUP and The RealReal, making it easier to shop sustainably while accessing past-season treasures at friendlier prices.
There is a particular thrill in discovering a discontinued print that feels like it was waiting specifically for you. (I’m always on the hunt for old banana print pieces from Farm Rio’s earlier collections.)
Final Thoughts (and Funeral Planning)
Farm Rio’s 2026 lines deliver exactly what we expect and exactly what we didn’t know we needed: pastel serenity, intricate eyelet cutouts in unexpected materials, and a continued commitment to joyful maximalism.
They remain the gold standard for elevated tropical dressing, proof that fashion can be both exuberant and refined, playful and intentional.
And yes, I stand by my earlier statement. When the time comes, bury me in Farm Rio.
Preferably in pastel.
