Timelessly Chic Farmhouses With Mega Style + Extra Eclectic Character

If these walls could talk. Heck, if these floors could talk!

I imagine so many of these spaces to be the homes of world travelers. Or artists. Homes at the very least of interesting people who have collected meaningful items from meaningful voyages alongside meaningful stamps in their passports.

While I’ve only checked a few countries off of my list and while I’ve never thought my own artwork to be that good, I like to imagine that this is somewhere close to where my style would fall when I properly fill a house someday. My style is a hodgepodge, just like my fashion sense. I don’t want to fit into a mold, I want to collect the things I like as I go along and magically make it all work together.

These spaces do just that. Many of them give me a cozy, eclectic, italian-farmhouse-meets-hip-artist’s-bohemian-home feel. What they lack in trendiness and minimalism they more than make up for in timelessness and character.

Shown above: I love how the checkered floor accents all the wood throught this kitchen and I LOVE the wooden arched built-in cabinet!

Shown below: The mixture of wood with the patterned patio, the giant sliding door to open up the entire house, and the mis-matched dining chairs — it’s all working for me. (Oh and I see you, brick wall back there!)

Shown below: Don’t even get me started on these iron-wrapped French doors. I love how modern and crisp they are, contrasted against the worn wood floors and the greenery throughout the space. It’s kind of magical.

Shown below: I love the two rooms below. I’ve always admired a good dark moody bedroom and this one achieves just that but still feels light, a bit country and pastoral, and inviting!

And I love love the sitting/living room with the midcentury golden velvet chairs, the bespoke chandelier made from what I’m going to make believe is old love notes, but who knows?… the peek of vintage stained-glass folding French doors, and the floral/botanical wallpaper mural in the background. So much eye candy everywhere!
